Faculty of Education Building, University of Lagos

A building for the Faculty of Education at the University of Lagos, designed to support teaching, study, and staff work under one roof. The plan prioritises daylight, easy wayfinding, and circulation that copes with the peaks of a busy academic timetable.

Teaching spaces are arranged for flexibility, with support offices and shared areas placed to keep the building active and legible. The project runs from concept and visualization to coordinated floor plans.

The brief

A modern faculty building that gathers lecture spaces, offices, and study areas into a bright, welcoming environment, with circulation sized for the surge of students between classes.

Teaching and circulation

Teaching spaces are planned to be flexible and daylit, with clear, generous circulation so large groups can move between rooms quickly. Shared and staff areas are placed to keep the building easy to read and use.

Floor plans

Coordinated plans organise teaching, office, and support spaces across levels into an efficient, easy-to-navigate layout. The plans below show the arrangement across the building.

Visualization

Renders were produced to study the massing, facade, and materials, giving a clear picture of the finished building before construction.
