The brief
A civic centre to promote culture and tourism in Abeokuta: a welcoming public destination that combines several functions on one site and gives the city a place to gather, celebrate, and learn.
A centre for many uses
The design caters for a broad mix of activities: commercial spaces, social functions, and recreation including indoor sport.
Cultural life is central, with an exhibition area and a museum, alongside educational activities. The plan keeps these uses distinct yet easy to move between, so the building stays active through the day and across different visitors.
Floor plans
The plans organise the range of public functions into clear zones with generous circulation, so large crowds can move comfortably between the commercial, cultural, recreational, and educational areas.
Visualization
Renders study the massing, public spaces, and civic presence of the proposal, giving a clear picture of how the centre would sit in the city.
